This is on my expereince, not on medical knowledge of the medical school. My neurologist, endocrinologist, rheumatologist, and told me that not all are curable. Strict control can prevent the aggravation, but the evil has come to stay. Better control can help to have some symptoms, but there is no magic formula to make them disappear. Work with your doc to reduce the symptoms you have that makes life easier for you.

Dear Radha,

Yes you can. It is a book entitled "Diabetes Solution" by Dr. Richard K. Bernstein, a Type I diabetic since 1947, where he fully answer your questions.

I have Type I diabetes for 47 years and this book really offers the solution for the normalization of blood glucose, by investing more complications and even weight loss.

Cheers,
BB

There will always be permanent damage, depending on how much damage was caused in May have no pain. Worsen as the level of glucose in the blood is under the control of pain may, before better than the nerves are back online.

Good luck!
