Ringworm Bite Can You Catch Ringworm If You Get Bitten By A Rat That Has It? Read Details, Please?

Can you catch ringworm if you get bitten by a rat that has it? Read details, please? - ringworm bite

I have little time to work around all kinds of little creatures ... Gerbils, hamsters, offers, etc. ... But this morning one of our rats treated with Jock bit hell out of me. It was a deep bite. It bled for an hour. I have a possibility of contracting ringworm or just dealing with the animal (touching the skin, etc.).

THANK YOU!

I would not worry about ringworm. Ringworm is usually transmitted by skin to skin, because it is caused by a fungus that lives on the skin, saliva. You can get by dealing with animals, but does not bite. I'd be more worried about the infection. Bites by animals is known to cause infections. I recommend that, whenever you should have a deep wound of an animal they have received after the emergency room to try it. It is probably too late, but keep an eye on it for redness, swelling, heat, unusual or foul-smelling drainage. If all this is happening across the straits from the emergency room with you
